Board of Directors

The business, property, and affairs of Coalition of Oak Ridge Retired Employees (CORRE) is managed and controlled by its Board of Directors.

Executive Committee

Dave is President of CORRE. He retired in 2012 after 44 years at the K-25 and Y-12 sites. He held several technical and management positions, including Division Director of ES&H (K-25), Waste Management (K-25), and Waste Operations (Y-12).

Luther is a Vice-President of CORRE. He retired from Consolidated Nuclear Security Y-12 in 2017 after a 40-year career with Department of Energy Oak Ridge prime contractors at Paducah Gaseous Diffusion Plant, K-25, and Y-12.

Bob is a Past President of CORRE. He retired from ORNL in 2005 after 40 years employment in the Chemical Technology Division and the Nuclear Science and Technology Division, where he held several management and technical positions.

Garry is a Vice-President of CORRE. He retired from Y-12 in 2011 with 42 years as an electrician and served as a steward, Chief Steward and delegate to the ATLC for IBEW Local 760 for over 25 years. He was President of the ATLC for 4 years.

Lester is CORRE Treasurer. He retired from the Reactor and Nuclear Sciences Division of the Oak Ridge National Laboratory in 2016 after 48 years of employment. He held several management and technical positions.

Sam is CORRE Communications Director. He joined the Fabrication Engineering Department at Y-12 in 1974. After UT Battelle became the operating contractor for ORNL, he became an ORNL employee. He retired from ORNL in 2003.

Ms. Cox is a Vice-President of CORRE. She has more than 45 years experience in all aspects of nuclear materials management and nuclear weapons missions, including positions as a front-line supervisor, departmental superintendent, and senior program manager in the weapons production areas.

Board Members

Barry retired in 2020 with 32 years service.. He began his career at K-25, later known as the East Tennessee Technology Park (ETTP), as Security Inspector under Martin Marietta Energy Systems in 1988.

Debbie retired from Y-12 in 2017 after 37 years of service. She worked primarily in Benefit Plans as Supervisor of the Call Center and Disability Services (Short/Long Term disability and FMLA).

Ed retired from ORNL in 2012. He worked at ORNL as High Flux Isotope Reactor-Operations Analyst and Plant Manager, Facilities and Operations Directorate-Engineering and Technical Support Manager. (New for 2024)

George retired from Y-12 in 2008 after 41 years at the Oak Ridge facilities. His career began at K-25 and later transferred to Y-12 for the remainder of his career. He was the Subcontract Technical Representative for the Waste Treatment Operations subcontract.

Joe retired from the Y-12 National Security Complex in January 2021, where he was the Site Manager of Construction. (New for 2024)

Judy retired in 1996 after 21 years at ORNL. She worked as Secretary in Personnel and Fusion Energy, and as manager of the Word Processing Center in Engineering Technology (ETD). She also worked in the Health and Safety section and in Program Development for ETD.

Lydia has over 35 years working in the Oak Ridge / Knoxville region. She retired from the Oak Ridge Department of Energy (DOE) contractors’ / consulting business in 2019.

Malcolm retired from ORNL in 2018 with 42-years. He is an ORNL Corporate Fellow Emeritus. He authored >250 peer-reviewed journal articles and >550 scientific publications. He is editor of six books and co-author of the monograph “Multiple Scattering Theory: Electronic structure of solids”.

Mike started his career at ORGDP in 1971, transferred to Y-12 in 1984 and returned to ORGDP in 1990. He retired in 2007 and later came back as a contractor with Fairfield Service Group until 2012. Mike served as a member of the Long Term Recovery Committee for the Kingston Steam Plant fly ash spill.

Mr. Jessen has over 45 years’ experience and is an accomplished senior manager and technical consultant with a successful track record within the Department of Energy (DOE) and private business. His DOE career is highlighted by a rapid succession within the technical and management ranks culminating as the Division Director for Enriched Uranium Operations at Y-12.

Paul retired from UCOR in 2022. He has 37 years experience in environmental management including waste management, environmental restoration, and waste transportation. (New for 2024)

Paul retired in 2021 after 47 years at the K-25 and Y-12 sites. He held several positions at Y-12 serving as Division Manager of the Assembly, Facilities Management, and Special Materials Organizations and Director of Manufacturing.

Teresa has been a member of CORRE since 2008 and founding member and co-chair of the Alliance for Grandfathered Retirees and Employees (AGRE). She began her career with Union Carbide in 1980 and continued to work as Benefits Advisor with the Oak Ridge and Pantex sites until May 2016.

Tony retired from Y-12 in 2000. He worked for over 30 years for Lockheed Martin and its predecessor companies in Uranium Enrichment Development, Safety Analysis, Strategic Planning, and Risk Analysis.

Tony retired from Y-12 in 2000 as Program Manger. After retirement in 2000, he worked for Pro2Serve as the Facility Security Officer as well as consulting on various projects at Los Alamos and Sandia Albuquerque.
