Lester Petrie retired from the Reactor and Nuclear Sciences Division of the Oak Ridge National Laboratory in 2016 after 48 years of employment. He held several management and technical positions. He holds a BChE degree from Georgia Tech, and a MS and ScD in Nuclear Engineering from MIT. He served as membership chairman of the Nuclear Criticality Safety Division of the American Nuclear Society, and as Secretary-Treasurer of the {Carbide, Martin-Marietta, Lockheed-Martin, Oak Ridge} Camera club.

Lester is the CORRE Treasurer. He is also a member of the Executive Committee, the Communications Committee, and the Web Site Committee.
