Garry worked at Y-12 for 42 years as an electrician. He served as a steward, Chief Steward and delegate to the ATLC for IBEW Local 760 for over 25 years. He was the President of the ATLC for 4 years before his retirement in 2011.

Garry is a Vice-President of CORRE. He is Chair of the Legislative Liaison Committee and a member of the Executive Committee, the Planning Committee and the Contractor Contacts Committee.
