• June 5 recommendation for Amendments sent to Board members by email.
• Committee recommended Amendments read to Board.
• Motion made (Gibson) and seconded (Manrod) to approve as read.
• Discussion ensued regarding Luther’s proposed changes to Amendments also sent to Board members by email.
• Motion made (Gibson) and seconded (Manrod) to accept Luther’s changes to Committee’s recommendations.
• This motion was approved.
• Attachments to the minutes are (1) By-laws with the committee’s recommended Amendments and (2) By-laws as approved by the Board.

• CNS – Gibson
• No meeting currently being set up; will work to set up meeting.
• Discussion of benefits change (suspension) with respect to post-65 employees still working (Randolph).
• Pantex RFP to be sent out mid-July.

• Golden Services – Burton
• Proposed meeting June 27 or June 29.
• June 27 is better date.
• Hightower asked for retirees by zip code to be included in meeting.

• UCOR – Manrod
• Meeting was held June 22.
• Retirees by zip code were obtained.
• Pension Plan Funding
• At 86.8% as of 01/01.2022.
• At 94.6% as of 01/01/2023.
• Will add $19.9M in 2023 (DOE approved).
• Plan for 100% by 2029/2030 due to negative returns last year.

• Change for people turning 65 regarding date to sign up for Medicare.
• 2023 ben/val study under way.
• 10M work hours achieved in 2023.

• UT-Battelle – Hightower
• No new report.
• UT-Battelle will not put our brochure in retirement packages.
• Discussion of medical plan costs/stipends.
• Hightower -- $700 annually in stipends plus $1200 annually in drug plan.
• Feedback to Hightower.

• Planning – Gibson
• No new report.

• Nominations
• We have the list of members not coming back next year and those wanting position changes (Whitehead).

• Communications – Kibbe
• We are invited to have a table at CWP July meeting.
• Will send out info.

• Communications Improvement Task Team
• McSpadden to lead team.
• Workshop proposed for team members to bring in facilitator and brainstorm issues; may need scribe.
• Suggest mid-July.

• Annual Meeting -- McRae
• UT conference room is free.
• S Cox – They need date and number of people.
• Hybrid meeting is a struggle; our first try.

• FOIA request to DOE for pension info.

• We had a Zoom meeting with Burchett’s Deputy Chief of Staff and Community Outreach Director on June 7.
• They will forward info to Washington.
• Angelelli – Why don’t we bombard them with requests to look at our package.
• Shelton to send out draft letter for review.

• Hightower – IRS has restored our tax exempt status and notified the state.
