Coalition of Oak Ridge Retired Employees (CORRE) Board of Directors Meeting
March 18, 2026, 10:00 A.M.

Attendees: Whitehead, Gibson, McSpadden, Angelelli, Shelton, Hill, Wasilko, Payne, Franco, Petrie, Livengood, Harding, Keith, Hightower, Estes

February Board Meeting Minutes – Angelelli
Approved.

February Treasurer’s Report – Petrie
Approved.

McSpadden -- We will have to pay for a company to support bulk emailing.
Motion -- Absorb the communications fund back into the general fund and pay communication out of the general fund (Hill)
Motion approved.

There were no reimbursement requests for BOD expenditures.

CNS – Wasilko
Annual meeting with Y-12 tentatively set for May 18 in New Hope Center at 10:00AM. Wasilko to collaborate with Hightower/Gibson on the agenda.
CORRE Annual Meeting in New Hope Center is now approved and will be free, authorized by Gene Seivers.

Simmons-Golden – Burton
No report.

UCOR – Shelton
The new 2026 APR process is working.
Reunion (Gibson) is planned for April 25, 2026.
CORRE has a table reserved.
We should post a link to the Reunion on our website (myCORRE.org).
Jama suggested a stretch tablecloth for our table with the CORRE logo and the Board authorized her to procure and then get reimbursed by the Treasurer.

UT-Battelle – Hightower
Annual meeting with UT-B will be sometime in May. Hightower and Gibson will develop the agenda.

Planning – Gibson
To be discussed elsewhere on the agenda.

Nominations – Franco
We have 2 vacancies due to resignation of Beverly Lomax and Sam McSpadden.
2 replacement candidates have been submitted by the Nominations Committee.
Candidate names were put forth on the meeting agenda (Sam Lariviere and Steve Sanders).
Both candidates were approved by unanimous BOD vote.

Communications – Hill
Comments on our brochure
Form to join CORRE is on the website. McSpadden has several copies that we can use for the K-25 Reunion. Byrd has the action regarding email updates to get the system up and running and to finalize the cost. Database needs to be kept up to date. Sheila Thornton will take on the assignment as our database manager.

Website – Livengood
Discussion ensued on planned revisions.
We will send revisions to Byrd to incorporate.

Other Sites – Jessen
SR annual meeting will be on the 21st.
Gibson to attend in person.

Governmental Relations – Wasilko
Contacted Cindy Boshears (Fleischmann staff) office several times – no response.
Have not been able to reach Stephen Howell (Fleischmann staff) either.
Fleischmann’s staff have not seen our letter.
Harding -- We need COLA provisions in new DOE contracts. We will need to comment on any new Oak Ridge RFPs.
Discussion ensued regarding letters to Congressmen.
Whitehead and Gibson will collaborate on a set of information slides for Wasilko use.

Annual Meeting – McRae
Meeting will be at New Hope Center on November 6, 2026 at 10:00AM.
Action plan is being prepared.
Pension Fund Analysis – Gibson
It is time for annual updates on retirements by year and zip codes. Whitehead and Gibson have sent reminder and clarification emails.
Harding –Contractors have different approaches.

Bylaws – Shelton
Draft revisions were sent out a couple of weeks ago.
Will have Zoom meeting with Bylaws Committee to resolve comments.
Will set up phone call to address Treasurer’s Guidelines Document.

Executive Committee – Whitehead
No new report.

Other Business – Whitehead
Discussion of Work Plan items sent out in meeting notice. No further discussion needed in the Board meeting.
