CORRE BOARD MEETING
FEB. 19, 2020

Attendees: Ball, Hightower, Hubbard, Kibbe, Mason, McRae, Manrod, Petrie, Peterson, Reynolds, Shoemaker, Shelton, Tillery, Whitehead, Terry Byrd

• January Minutes – Approved as amended.

• January Treasurer’s Report – Approved.

• CNS – Still no response from recent meeting
• Letter from Whitehead to Morgan Smith
• Commented on AON’s inadequate performance.
• Disagreed with AON position that CNS does not need to modify suite of health care benefits offered.
• Whitehead attended a meeting with Morgan Smith and a group of retirees who have issues with AON’s performance. All are awaiting a response from CNS.
• CNS has still not provided a Retiree Benefit Summary Plan Description as required and agreed to.
• We are working to get a number Y-12 retires (who are not CORRE board members) to request a copy of this plan.

• Golden Services – No recent contacts.
• Rep. Tim Burchett has sent a letter to Kenneth Tarcza of ORO about resolving the loss of health care coverage by spouses of Golden’s retirees. Whitehead has confirmed that Tarcza’s office has received the letter.

• UCOR – Peterson
• The new K-25 History Museum will hold its grand opening on Feb.27 at 10:30 a.m. Everyone is invited.

• UT-Battelle – Hightower
• Initial contact was made with Scott McIntyre to set up meeting to discuss plans for UTB Benefits changes. No progress to date.

• Planning Committee – Gibson
• Another Planning Committee is planned.

• Nominations – Mason/Hightower
• Holdover – approved Mike Tillery joining the board to fill an open spot for 2020.
• There are two additional 2020 board vacancies (Brashears and McGrory) to be filled. We are looking preferentially for ORNL and K-25 candidates, but will always accept good candidates from any site.

• Communications – Kibbe
• Judy sent an e-mail regarding a request for nominations for a community service/action award to be given by the Cold War Patriots organization.
• Cold War Patriots meetings are coming up:
• We should be supportive
• Compensation eligibility requirement have changed and will be discussed.
• We can distribute CORRE brochures.

• Website – Manrod
• The committee is discussing purpose and goals of website.
• Several improvements have been made and potential improvements were discussed by Terry Byrd.
• The new site name will be MyCORRE.org and is now available for review.
• Mason moved that inquiries to the old site (CORRE.info) be automatically redirected to the new site. MOTION CARRIED,

• Other DOE Sites.
• No report—the committee is being reorganized.

• Legislative – Whitley
• Burchett is interested in helping us.
• Whitley is setting up a meeting with Fleishman’s local office.

• Annual Meeting
• CORRE still wants to meet again at the New Hope Center at Y-12, tentatively on September 18.
• We are still considering another day since the low attendance may have been exacerbated by holding the meeting on a Friday.
• No firm reservations have been made yet.

• Pension Plan Analysis
• No report.

• Reminder: Committee chairs should prepare a paragraph on the purpose and responsibilities of their committee to assist successors.

• No other new business.
