CORRE BOARD MEETING

Attendees: Gibson, Hightower, Kibbe, Mason, Randolph, Whitehead, Whitley, McGrory, McRae, Petrie, Peterson, Shelton, Davis, Standifer, Reynolds, Manrod, Hubbard, Shoemaker, Ball, Angelelli

• Minutes – Approved.

• Treasurer’s Report – Approved.
• Will look at some reinvestment.

• CNS – No response from recent meeting; will re-contact them.
• Proposed letter from Gibson
• Propose Express Scripts; moving cutoff date (AON).
• Discussion of letter vs meeting or letter to Morgan plus meeting request.
• Whitehead to draft letter.
• No summary plan description from CNS by end of December.
• Out of compliance.

• Golden Services – No report.

• UCOR – Peterson
• Ben/Val study finished.
• Need to be = 105%; are at 102.5%.
• Short-term disability benefit over-reduced; UCOR recommendation to restore.
• “Restoring” is significant.
• Net gain of 15 people getting stipend.
• UCOR contract ends 07/31.
• No word from DOE; extension possible.
• Mike Lively re-retiring end of month.
• We should start thinking about timing for each contractor meeting.

• UT-Battelle – Hightower
• Will work on setting up meeting.
• Planning Committee – Gibson
• Meeting last week – intense.
• To prioritize goals for the year.
• Minimum pension; maintaining benefits (Manrod).
• We want to let contractor know we are watching (Peterson).

• Nominations – Mason/Hightower
• Holdover – approve Cam Hubbard coming onboard.
• Planning for Mike Tillery to fill open board position when he retires in February. Hightower/Mason to follow up.
• Brashears resigned from Board. Plan to replace him ASAP.

• Communications – Kibbe
• Need more bios.

• Website – Manrod
• Whitehead sent out email with link.
• Discussion of purpose of website.
• New site launch in February.

• Other Sites – No report.
• Keeping contact with SR (Gibson).

• Legislative – Whitley
• Ask about letter for Benefits Plan to go to Brashears.
• Whitehead on Burchett follow-up.
• Burchett made commitment for Tarcza letter re Golden Services and surviving spouse inequity issues.
• Have not seen letter.
• Sent email to district director this week.
• Discussion of what should go into letter.
• Whitley to set up Fleischman staff meeting.

• Annual Meeting
• CORRE wants to meet again at the New Hope Center at Y-12, tentatively on September 18.
• We are considering another day since the low attendance may have been exacerbated by holding the meeting on a Friday.
• No firm reservations have been made yet.

• Committee chairs should prepare a paragraph on the purpose and responsibilities of their committee to assist successors.

• No other new business.
