CORRE BOARD MEETING
APRIL 17, 2019

- Minutes – Approved.
- Treasurer’s Report – Approved.
- CNS – Whitley
- Do we have a list of names and addresses?
- We need to file FOIA request with DOE.
- NNSA request will go to Albuquerque.
- Long process to retrieve info (~4 mo.).
- Experience is 5-7 mo. and counting.
- Golden – Johnson
- Meeting at 1:00 today.
- How many retirees are they responsible for?
- Town Site and K-25; probably <50.
- UCOR – Peterson
- Meeting on May 20 at 1:00.
- Office moving from K-25 701 Scarboro.
- They are working on ben/val.
- Pension funding is >80%.
- Annual notice (as of Jan. 2018) out this month.
- John hickey has sent proposed agenda for meeting.
- UT-Battelle – No report.
- Meeting in late April (?).
- Planning Committee – Gibson
- Do we go forward with open house?
- Debbie is getting 3-5 people a week coming to them.
- Whitley – Companies are not taking care of retirees as they should.
- We need to force companies to have a place where retirees can come in to talk.
- Mostly on health insurance issues (maybe 90%).
- Companies are neglecting retirees on benefits.
- Good chance that X, Y will respond.
- Let’s get volunteers to get open house started.
- DOA community budget workshops, May 15.
- We should be represented there.
- Nominations – No report.
- Communications – Kibbe
- Meeting with Cold War Patriots.
- They will put out our brochures.
- We can have a presence at their next 4 meetings (ice cream socials).
- Getting list for volunteers, May 14, 15, 16, 17.
- AMSE will put out our brochures.
- Children’s Museum will post our brochures.
- Heritage Museum will put out our brochures.
- Website – No report.
- Issue regarding notifying website about contacting CORRE.
- Link not working.
- Mason volunteers to field requests if link gets working.
- Other Sites – No report.
- Legislative – No report.
- We will make contact with Burchette.
- Annual Meeting
- We have New Hope, Sept. 20, 1:00-3:30.
- They are looking to see if they can waive fee.
- Cold War patriots want to be there.
- We’re asking contractors to come to meeting.
- Constitution/By-Laws Review – McGrory
- Report sent out.
- No major changes.
- We will vote on cosmetic changes next month.
- Pension Plans => Defined Benefit.
- Should we specify?
- We will have retirees with pensions plans that are not defined benefit.
- Whitehead re Nominations
- We can have up to 3 VPs.
- We now have 2 VPs.
- Do we want to add third VP back?
- Pension Fund Analysis – Gibson
- Annual report is always in arrears.
- Spouse option/minimum pension issue mentioned.
- If spouse passes, retiree’s pension pops back up to max.
- Whitley – Y-12 has said they are not interested in changing spouse option – that was the plan people who retired before 2004 worked under.
- Golden Letter
- Dependents, including spouses, are not covered when retiree is deceased.
- How about going forward? Are retirees grandfathered?
- No HRAs associated with Golden.
- Question is implications of the letter/ changes from NSPS coverages.
- Dave to send out reminder regarding AON report.
- Looking for comments.
- Secretary left meeting at 11:30.
