CORRE Board of Directors Meeting
September 18, 2024

• August Minutes – Approved.

• August Treasurer’s Report –
• Will send out amended report.
• Will approve next month.

• Tom Whitfield for Jack Allen (running for 3rd District Congress)
• Regarding our pension increase issues
• Jack wants to know our issues and how he can help
• Dave Whitehead will email our pension package to him.
• Jane George is running for 2nd District Congress.

• CNS –
• No new report.
• 39 people filled out our contact form at CWP meeting.
• CNS is replacing Alight with VIA.
• Y12/Pantex transition/separation is October 1; extended to November.
• CNS will manage Y-12 for the next 2-3 years.

• Simmons & Golden –
• No new report.
• Company is in transition.
• We will meet with them after transition is complete.

• UCOR –
• No new report.
• Discussion of pension funding source after completion of ETTP cleanup work

• UT-Battelle –
• No new report.
• Request to Carissa for authorization to discuss cost estimate.
• Y12 is going to the same health care exchange that ORNL uses (VIA).

• Planning – Gibson
• SS COLA could be 2.5%.
• We are at 1.94 ($1.00 in August 1998 requires $1.94 in August 2024 to purchase the same amount) factor with our pension.
• Dave will send out an updated CORRE Presentation Package to our Congressional Representatives.

• Nominations – Wasilko
• 5 nominees are still intact.
• Garry Whitley to be an advisor to the 2025 CORRE Board.

• Communications/Website – McSpadden
• We get analytical data regarding number of people who read our website.
• With “MailChimp” system: 1314 emails sent out – 537 opened the email – 50 clicked on message – 2 unsubscribed.
• We had 105 hard bounces – 129 soft bounces.
• Website – Contact people need updates (DOE/Contractors).
• Forms we ask people to fill out – people cannot write or they leave out data -- could we use a tablet?.
• New Y-12 email address: Y12@Y12NSC.DOE.GOV. Not sure when it goes into effect.
• Fall newsletter is on the website now – send items to Sam for newsletter.
• Next event – CNS Cares health care event – September 28 at OR Civic Center – door prizes – 11:30AM to 1:30PM.
• CORRE will have a table there. There will be two $50 Amazon gift cards for the Civic Center event. Dave will furnish and get reimbursed.

• Y-12 Health Fair for current employees is Oct.16, 10:00AM to 2:00 PM.
• We need 2 people for our table (Franco and Chilcoat).

• Other Sites – Gibson
• The meeting in Oak Ridge was Environmental Mgmt. Site Specific Advisory Bd. Chairs Meets in OR next week.
• Will talk with Idaho rep.
• 125K people are in pension funds across the complex.

• Pension Fund Analysis – Gibson
• Form 5500 out next month.

• Gov. Relations – S Cox
• No new report.

• Annual Meeting – McRae
• Dave has Webex info for sign-in.
• Bob to sent out invite letters Oct. 8.
• Need to dry run at Y-12 – week of Oct. 21.
• Invites to vendors to be sent out.
• We need (3) $50 gift cards for our Nov. 8 Annual Meeting (Lester to furnish them).

• By-laws – Shelton
• Riggs and Petrie working on a procedure of how money comes in to CORRE.

• Other – Whitehead
• Recommend John Clayton to be CORRE Financial Advisor.
• Motion to approve == Hightower.
• Approved unanimously.
