2025 Annual Meeting of the Coalition of Oak Ridge Retired Employees (CORRE)
November 7, 2025

Attendees: CORRE Board Members of 2025, Future 2026 CORRE Board Members, Oak Ridge Contractor HR/Benefits Employees, Health Care Organization Representatives: Cold War Patriots (CWP), Quality Private Duty Care, Clinch River Home Health Care (CRHHC), Pro-Compounding, Trusted Ally, Maxim, Mac’s Pharmacy, Oak Ridge City Council Representative, Anderson County Commission Representatives, Oak Ridge Environmental Management (OREM) Manager, Oak Ridge Historian and Published Authors for the Oak Ridger, American Museum of Science and Energy (AMSE) Representative, and several Oak Ridge Retirees.

Call to Order – President Whitehead

Acknowledgement and welcome of guests as stated above – President Whitehead

Nominating Committee Report – Vice President Franco; a nominated slate of 22 2026 CORRE Board members were shown by view on the large screen including photos as an introduction; the entire slate of 22 2026 CORRE Board members was approved and accepted by acclamation. The Slate of 2026 CORRE Board members can be seen in the presentation and are also listed on the CORRE website (mycorre.org). New CORRE Board Members are: Jama Hill, Beverly Lomax, Sheila Thornton, Chuck Estes, Skip Hanline, Terry Payne, Ron Milligan and Ken Keith.

Treasurer Report submitted by Treasurer Petrie – See presentation.

Annual Report to CORRE Membership – President Whitehead gave a review of several 2025 activities by view on the large screen including:

Meetings with the Oak Ridge Contractors were reviewed as well as reviews of Performance Plans, Fund Notices, Monitoring of DOE Solicitations Contract Awards for retiree benefit content.

Updated presentations of the status of retirees to Representatives and Senators were given regularly, including a CORRE Board members’ meeting with Representative Chuck Fleischmann.

Several Slides were shown and explanations given regarding the requests CORRE seeks for consideration from the Contractors and the DOE.

Conclusion – CORRE needs advocates for retiree benefits by contracting Representatives and Senators; for more information, please contact the CORRE website mycorre.org.

Questions/Comments – Several interesting questions from the audience/Webex attendees were voiced and answers were given. Jenifer Lee, AMSE, spoke of the K-25 Reunion and Hootenanny announcement to be held at K-25 on April 25, 2026, the last Saturday in April; this 2026 reunion is open to all Oak Ridge employees, retirees, and contractors regardless of which site you may have retired from.
